What this test establishes

Moderno 1.49 rendered a synthetic chair’s $90 regular price and $72 sale price, including a 20% reduction label. A second, zero-stock desk displayed an Out of stock notice without an add-to-cart control. There was also an important limitation: our ordinary WooCommerce products short code produced an empty catalogue in this parent-only setup, although the in-stock chair’s direct page worked.

Exact setup and package scope

We extracted the installable moderno.zip from the GPLHub outer package and activated that parent theme with WooCommerce 11.2.1. The chair had three units; the desk had none. Hide out-of-stock items was enabled. No demo import or Moderno Core integration was added. The stock and pricing rules belong to WooCommerce; this experiment observes their display through the active theme rather than crediting the theme with implementing inventory logic.

The version shown here comes from the installable archive header, checked against the GPLHub package on 23 October 2026. It is a dated source snapshot, not a promise that no newer vendor release exists. The final download record identifies the exact file size and SHA-256 so a later package can be distinguished from the file tested here.

What to check in your own installation

The empty catalogue is not proof that Moderno cannot build a shop, nor was it repaired by inventing a successful screenshot. It identifies the boundary of this exact installation. The native in-stock product query selected the chair, and the desk was not catalogue-visible, but those model checks did not guarantee that the short-code grid would render. Inspect the actual shop template and required theme integrations before adopting this parent-only setup.

Limits, dependencies and reproduction

No checkout, payment, shipping, tax calculation, order, load-time benchmark or imported demonstration was tested. Product images are WooCommerce placeholders because the items are synthetic; they are not AI-generated product photos. A standard WooCommerce theme is an alternative for a simple shop, but no side-by-side performance comparison was performed. The supplied parent and any separately licensed assets should be reviewed under their actual licence terms.

The reproduction download contains the guarded PHP fixture and recorded JSON results. It is a developer resource, not an installable product add-on. Use a disposable staging site with the exact recorded versions, read the fixture, adapt its explicit environment guards and keep real email, payment and external integrations disabled. Recheck the real browser output after saving: a passing model check alone is not a complete interface test.

Free download and Nulled questions

“Nulled” usually describes software whose activation or licence checks have been removed or altered; the word alone does not determine whether a particular use is lawful. GPL-covered code can be studied, modified and redistributed subject to its licence conditions, but this does not grant access to a developer’s account, hosted services, updates or support. We discuss the term here to answer a common search question; the download details separately identify the package source and tested version. Any plugin or theme obtained through an unverified third party can contain unwanted changes or malicious code, whether or not it is labelled “nulled”. Before installing it, you can ask ChatGPT or Claude Code to inspect the extracted source for suspicious behaviour without executing it or sharing credentials. Treat that review as an additional check: AI can miss harmful code or flag harmless code, and a clean result is not a security guarantee.

Does hiding sold-out products protect their direct URLs? No. The zero-stock desk was still published and readable directly. Catalogue visibility and access control are different settings.

Are all companion components tested? Only the exact combination described above was exercised. The separate inventory lists optional add-ons, dependencies and child themes where present. Extract the outer companion archive first and install only components you need; a package does not grant vendor account services or support.
